1. Introduction
The following information provides you, as a “data subject,” with an overview of how we process your personal data and your rights under data protection law. You can generally use our website without providing personal data. However, if you wish to use certain services offered by our company through our website, processing personal data may be necessary. If processing is necessary and there is no other legal basis for it, we generally obtain your consent.
Personal data, such as your name, address, or email address, is always processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the country-specific data protection provisions applicable to the ArteUnit sole proprietorship. This Privacy Policy explains the scope and purposes of the personal data we collect, use, and process.
As the controller responsible for processing, we have implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to provide the most comprehensive protection possible for personal data processed through this website. Nevertheless, internet-based data transmissions may have security vulnerabilities, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection. You are therefore welcome to provide personal data to us through alternative channels, such as by telephone or mail.

4. Legal Basis for Processing
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing activities for which we obtain consent for a specific purpose.
If processing personal data is necessary to perform a contract to which you are a party, such as processing required to deliver goods or provide other services or contractual benefits, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The same applies to processing necessary to take steps before entering into a contract, such as responding to inquiries about our products or services.
If our company is subject to a legal obligation that requires the processing of personal data, such as compliance with tax obligations, processing is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
In rare cases, processing personal data may be necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another individual. This could occur, for example, if someone were injured on our premises and their name, age, health insurance information, or other vital information needed to be disclosed to a physician, hospital, or other third party. In that case, processing would be based on Article 6(1)(d) GDPR.
Finally, processing activities may be based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Processing activities that are not covered by any of the legal bases listed above may be carried out under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR where processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by our company or a third party, provided those interests are not overridden by the data subject’s interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
Such processing activities are permitted in particular because they are specifically recognized under European law. In this respect, the legislature considers that a legitimate interest may exist where you are a customer of our company (Recital 47, sentence 2 GDPR).

Our website includes plugins from the Vimeo video platform, operated by Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011, USA.

Through the embedded plugin, Vimeo receives information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Vimeo account or are not currently logged in to Vimeo. This information, including your IP address, is transmitted directly from your browser to a Vimeo server in the United States and stored there.

The processing activities described above are carried out under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of Vimeo’s legitimate interest in market research and tailoring its service to users’ needs.
If you do not want Vimeo to associate the data collected through our website with your Vimeo account, you must log out of Vimeo before visiting our website.
